Today we went for a drive to Ilfracombe 27 clicks from Longreach. As you drive into town, one of the worlds longest museums peels away as you pass. This is the Machinery Mile & Heritage Display where you are able to trace the history of pastoral & community development from early walking beam drilling rigs, to early graders & fireploughs, tractors, pumps. This town is a testament to the early settlers & pioneers that made this country with many displays & historical artifacts. Simply an amazing day.
